Speed skating is always one of my favourite events to watch at the Winter Olympic Games.  Canada always has some strong athletes and this year is no exception.  Canadian speed skaters should be able to compete for many of the 20 gold medals that will be awarded.  Eight medals will be awarded in short-track speed skating and twelve in long track.  South Korea will be another strong country, especially in the men’s events.
